Very few people actually make use of the “Arrange Icons By” feature of Windows. You can arrange your ‘the contents of ‘My Documents’ in a very nice and useful manner.

Right click menu in My Documents

  • open My Documents. Right click on an empty area.
  • Click Arrange Icons By>Modified
  • Next click Arrange Icons By>Show in Groups

Now the documents will be neatly arranged in the order you last used them. Makes sense if you have a really large number of files in your ‘My Documents’.
