Some 46 million Nokia batteries have put phone users at risk. These are BL-5C batteries, only those that were manufactured by Japan’s Matsushita Battery Industrial Co between December 2005 and November 2006. The problem is the battery up heats while charging and explodes. There has been some 100 overheating incidents all over the world, though no serious injuries were reported.
